Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week hospital assignment in Georgia. The ideal candidate has neuro and ortho surgical experience and familiarity with robotics, plus current BLS/ACLS and a GA (or Compact) RN license.

The role requires Cerner EMR proficiency, 12-hour day shifts (3 per week) with varying start times and on-call responsibilities. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and be eligible for travel assignments.

Qualifications

• Active RN license GA or Compact.
• BLS and ACLS current.
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience.
• Versatile across Neuro, Ortho and robotics cases.
• Cerner EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate in hospital surgery department OR unit.
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week, with start times 6:30am–3pm.
• On-call requirement.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with recent Neuro and Ortho surgical specialty experience for a 13-week hospital assignment.

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through AHA
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Operating Room specialty
• Must be versatile and experienced across Neuro, Ortho, and robotics cases
• Cerner EMR experience required

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit within a hospital surgery department
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week, with varying start times between 6:30am-3pm
• On-call required
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Must have expertise in Neuro and Ortho procedures, with occasional robotics cases
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Returning staff who previously worked permanently at the facility must have a 2-year break before returning as a non-local traveler
• RTO must be requested upfront prior to offer and cannot be requested after
