Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital in North Dakota. The role emphasizes neuro/spine and ortho surgical experience with robotics exposure.

The position requires an active RN license (ND or Compact), BLS, and at least 2 years of OR RN experience in a large hospital with 250+ beds. Robotics and navigation systems are used regularly.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ND or Compact)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
• Large hospital experience (250+ beds) with Level 1 trauma status
• Experience with 15+ OR suites
• Strong neuro experience focusing on craniotomies and spine
• Strong ortho experience for case versatility
• Experience with general surgical cases, GYN, urology, and laparoscopic procedures
• Experience with robotics (DaVinci preferred)
• Experience with surgical navigation systems

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a Level 1 trauma hospital of 250+ beds and 25 OR suites
• Unit averages 75 to 100 surgical cases per day
• 1:1 nurse to patient ratio
• Straight evening shift, 1pm-9pm, Mon-Fri, with potential for 10-hour days
• Rotating call 1–2 days per week and every 3–4 weekends
• Staff rotate through PM shifts as needed
• Rare floating to multiple campuses up to 60 miles away
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Utilizes surgical equipment including robotics and navigation for neuro cases
• Circulating nurse responsibilities and sterile prepping
• Positioning patients and setting up OR equipment
• Extended shifts may be required
• All clinicians must badge in/out
• Ceremonial scrub color Ceil Blue provided by facility
• Travelers living 60–80 miles may be considered at reduced local rate
• Prior Sanford Health employment requires end date of 6+ months before consideration

• Strong ortho experience required for case versatility
• Experience with general surgical cases, GYN, urology, and laparoscopic procedures required
• Experience with robotics required, DaVinci experience preferred
• Experience with surgical navigation systems required

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Accudose, cautery, lasers, laparoscopic equipment, arthroscopy equipment, and Stealth navigation for neuro cases
• Function as a circulating nurse, documenting and caring for patients in the operative setting
• Responsibilities include sterile prepping of surgical sites, catheter insertion, opening sterile supplies, positioning patients for procedures, and setting up OR equipment
• Extended shift time beyond scheduled hours may be required as needed, not classified as call back
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Scrub color is Ceil Blue, provided by facility
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility may be considered at a reduced local rate
• Candidates with prior employment at Sanford Health must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration
