Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with CST certification for a busy surgical unit performing a wide range of procedures including ortho, neuro, and trauma cases.

Requirements include an active TX or Compact RN license, CST certification, BLS, 1 year OR experience, no 90+ day gaps in the last year, SSN and DOB, and one reference; BSN/CNOR preferred. Scrubs provided; travel benefits available.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required.
• CST certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• BSN and CNOR preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required.
• No employment gaps of 90+ days in the past 12 months.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting with 11 ORs and 1 endo suite.
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, and 11 techs; night shift includes 1 nurse and 1 tech.
• 1:1 patient ratios.
• Uses OR equipment including multiple types of ortho beds and 4 surgical robots.
• EMR: Meditech.
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM.
• No floating required.
• Rotating weekend call required.
• Perform surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, trauma, neurosurgery, spine, ENT, and bariatrics.
• Team environment with high energy and motivated staff.
• Scrubs provided by facility.
• Unit policies and guidelines available via PolicyStat.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
