Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a day-shift travel position in New York. Strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular experience required along with active NY RN license and BLS/ACLS.

The assignment runs 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with every other weekend, rotating holidays, and possible on-call. Epic EMR experience and regulatory compliance are essential; housing, travel, and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active NY RN license
• 2 years of recent OR experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR experience
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number
• Minimum one supervisor or manager reference in the past year
• Medical exemption for flu declinations if applicable

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting within a hospital environment
• Day shift 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend
• Rotating holiday coverage
• Possible on-call requirement
• Strong experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular surgical cases
• Candidates residing outside Albany area within 50-mile radius not eligible
• No blocked scheduling
• More than 3 call-outs in 13 weeks may lead to contract termination with make-up shifts
• RTO requests at time of application
