Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN Circulator for an Operating Room position in West Virginia. Requires 2+ years OR circulating experience and WV or compact RN license. BLS/ACLS, NIH certifications are required.

Shift runs 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with every-other weekend coverage and on-call nights. Travel eligibility and housing support are offered by the agency. Work in a Level III trauma hospital with 7 ORs, supporting diverse surgical specialties and using Meditech EHR.

Qualifications

• Active WV or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required.
• NIH certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN circulating experience required.
• Experience circulating in General, GYN, Vascular, Ortho, Urology, Podiatry, and da Vinci Robot cases required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 7-room Operating Room at a Level III trauma hospital.
• Serves patients of all ages across specialties including General, GYN, Vascular, Ortho, Urology, Podiatry, and da Vinci Robot cases.
• Facility offers a wide range of surgical services including da Vinci Robotic Surgery, Spine, Orthopaedic, Vascular, Thoracic, Interventional Pain Management, Interventional Cardiology, Gynecological, General, Oral, Urological, and Eye surgery.
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Shift runs 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, with potential for additional coverage or call
• Call requirements include 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
• Interdepartmental floating required as needed
• Function as an RN Circulator supporting a variety of surgical specialties
• Work under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services or Assistant Director of Surgical Services
• Scrubs supplied by facility; casual wear and other facility-branded attire not permitted
• Professional demeanor expected on the unit
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel assignment
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
