Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Charge RN for an Operating Room position requiring active MI licensure and previous OR circulating experience.

The role involves managing a Surgical Services unit with three OR rooms and a Procedure Room, covering a wide range of adult and pediatric surgeries. Day shifts run 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Thursday, with 36 hours guaranteed and on-call requirements."

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Previous OR circulating experience required
• Experience in Orthopaedic, OB-GYN, and General surgery
• PACU, Urology and Ophthalmic surgery experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Surgical Services unit with 3 OR rooms and a Procedure Room
• Outpatient and inpatient surgeries for adults and children across specialties including cancer, ENT, gastroenterology, general, gynecological, ophthalmological, orthopedic, podiatry, and urological surgery
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses CPSI EMR
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday, 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend coverage limited to on-call only
• On-call requirement of 10-11 days per month
• Deliver quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process and collaborate with the healthcare team to uphold professional nursing standards
• Facility provides scrubs
• Local candidates within a 35 mile radius are considered local travelers with adjusted travel rate
• Limited to 5 days of requested RTO
