Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Level III NICU RN for a night shift travel assignment across multiple hospitals in New Jersey.

Requirements include an active NJ or Compact RN license, BLS and NRP, Level III NICU experience with micro preemies and high frequency ventilation, and the ability to float among five hospitals. 3x12 hour nights with 1:2 patient ratio and every-other-weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required (not expiring within 30 days).
• NRP certification required.
• Nursys license verification must be current and reflect active NJ/Compact license.
• Level III NICU experience required.
• Experience with micro preemies and high frequency ventilation required.

Responsibilities

• Level III NICU setting with couplet care and Stork RN on shift.
• Patient ratio of 1:2 during shifts.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00.
• Every other weekend requirement.
• Float among five hospitals: Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, OLOL.
• No on-call requirements.
• Care for critically ill neonates including micro preemies on high frequency ventilation.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Level III NICU RN with micro preemie and high frequency ventilation experience for a night shift travel assignment requiring float flexibility across multiple hospitals.

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• BLS certification must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date
• 2-3 years of NICU experience required, with recent experience within the last 12 months
• Level III NICU experience required
• Experience with micro preemies and high frequency ventilation required
• Nursys license verification must be current and reflect active NJ or Compact license

Responsibilities

• Level III NICU setting practicing couplet care with a dedicated Stork RN on each shift
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Float required among five hospitals within skillset (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
• No on-call requirements
• Epic experience preferred
• Care for critically ill neonates including micro preemies requiring high frequency ventilation support
• Required to work 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
• Complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
• First-time travelers accepted though not preferred
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the hospital are subject to a reduced local rate
• Travel pairs are not accepted; candidates must be considered individually
