Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Level IV NICU in Wisconsin. The role requires at least 2 years of NICU experience (including 1 year in a Level IV NICU) and an active WI license or compact, with BLS and NRP.

Epic experience is required, and travel-friendly assignments may be considered for qualified candidates. The position offers day/night 12-hour shifts, 1:1 to 1:3 patient ratios, and requires 2–3 weekend shifts over a 6-week cycle.

Qualifications

• Active WI RN license or compact required.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications (AHA only) required.
• Minimum 2 years NICU III/IV experience with at least 1 year in a Level IV NICU.
• Epic experience is required, preferably within the last 12 months.
• Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and invasive/noninvasive ventilation.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level IV NICU within a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center.
• Care for neonates across gestational ages, including <24–28 weeks.
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3.
• Day/Night rotations; 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 / 1900-0730).
• Work 2–3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period.
• Orientation week may include 8-hour shifts.
• Uses Epic charting system; floating as needed.
• Provide specialized neonatal intensive care in a Magnet-designated, Level One Pediatric Trauma Center.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred; travel may be required.

• Minimum 2 years total NICU III/IV experience, with at least 1 year in a Level IV NICU required
• Epic experience required, preferably within the last 12 months
• Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and invasive/noninvasive ventilation required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start
