Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Neonatal ICU RN for a Level III/IV NICU position in Washington. Requires 3+ years NICU experience, WA or compact RN license, BLS/NRP, and travel experience. Responsibilities include caring for very small neonates, 1:3 patient ratio, and shift rotations with 3x12 hour nights.

Ventilator/line management and feeding support are essential. EPIC experience preferred; local and travel candidates welcome. Generous housing and licensure reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

• BLS and NRP certifications required.

• Minimum 1 year travel experience required (2 years preferred).
• Ventilator management experience required.
• Arterial/central line management experience required.
• IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids administration experience required.
• Neonatal abstinence syndrome experience.
• Feeding methods and tube placement experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for Level III/IV NICU neonates as young as 24-28 weeks gestation.
• Patient ratio of 1:3.
• Night shift schedule 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15).
• Floating to other units as needed.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
• RTO policy: max 5 days per assignment, unblocked schedules; finalize requests at consideration.

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a NICU position requiring 3+ years of NICU experience and a WA or compact license.

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience required, 2 years preferred
• Experience with ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) required
• Experience with arterial line, central line, UAC, and UVC management required
• Experience with IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroid administration required
• Experience with neonatal abstinence syndrome and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required
• Experience with feeding methods (bottle, breast, gavage) and oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tube placement required

Responsibilities

• Level III/IV NICU setting caring for neonates as young as 24-28 weeks gestation
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
• Floating to Childbirth Center Units and other hospital areas based on patient care needs required
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment with no blocked schedules accepted
• All RTO requests must be finalized at time of consideration and cannot be modified afterward
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered for rehire as a traveler
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Required orientation modules completed and signed off by facility managers
