American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level 4 NICU position in Texas. Requires 2+ years NICU experience and a TX or compact RN license. Night shift 18:45–07:15, 13-week assignment.

BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required. Primary source verification (Nursys) within 30 days prior to start. First-time travelers may be considered. The role involves high acuity neonatal care, caring for neonates up to 1 year, with a variety of complex conditions and patient ratios of 1:1

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
• Minimum 2 years of Neonatal ICU experience required.
• Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) within 30 days prior to start

Responsibilities

• Level 4 NICU treating high acuity, fast-paced neonatal cases
• Patient population ranges from neonatal through 1 year of age, with occasional patients over 1 year
• Cares for conditions including HIE/Therapeutic Hypothermia, VLBW/ELBW (Prematurity), Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, heart disease/defects, surgical neonates, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, arrhythmias, congenital birth defects, and renal failure
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length
• Deliver high acuity neonatal critical care in a fast-paced Level 4 NICU environment
• Radius rules apply and may affect local candidate pay rate eligibility
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
