American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a NICU RN for night shift in a hospital setting. The role requires Level II/III NICU experience, Texas or compact RN license, and active ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.

The candidate should be proficient with Allscripts, IV therapy, APGAR scoring, and neonatal respiratory care, including CPAP and ventilator management. Travel experience is preferred; local candidates are not eligible.

Qualificações

• Active TX or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
• Allscripts charting experience required
• Proficient in IV therapy and neonatal vascular access
• Experience with neonatal medications and dosing
• Proficient in APGAR scoring and thermoregulation
• Experience with respiratory care including CPAP and ventilators
• Knowledge of neonatal sepsis precautions and isolation
• Travel or on-site willingness; local candidates not considered

Responsabilidades

• Care for neonates in the Level II/III NICU units
• Attend high-risk deliveries and support neonates from 29 weeks to term
• Acuity-based staffing including stabilization, transfer prep, and well baby care
• Maintain a 1:3 patient ratio during night shifts
• Work 4x12 hour nights, 18:45-07:00; every other weekend
• Complete required lab work within 72 hours of offer or have a plan
• Comply with facility drug screening and travel policies
• Coordinate travel accommodations and licensure reimbursements

American Traveler is hiring a NICU RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of NICU experience and TX or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Allscripts charting experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, starting and maintaining IVs, UAC/UVC, and central line blood draws
• Experience administering medications including antibiotics, antivirals, and surfactants with accurate neonatal dosage calculations
• Skilled in APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, phlebotomy, and developmental care
• Experience with respiratory care including CPAP, HFNC, ventilator management, and suctioning
• Experience with neonatal sepsis management and isolation precautions
• Experience with gastrointestinal care including feedings, NG/OG/NJ tube management, and breastfeeding support

Responsibilities

• Work in the NICU unit of a hospital setting
• Level II/III NICU experience ideal, caring for neonates from 29 weeks to full term
• Acuity-based staffing including stabilization, transfer prep, and well baby care
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 18:45-07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Will consider 36 or 48 hour commitments
• Attend high-risk deliveries and provide care for neonates in Level I, II, and III nursery settings
• Provide care for conditions such as hyperbilirubinemia, NEC, gastroschisis/omphalocele, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
• May assist with lumbar punctures and manage therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket) protocols
• Candidates must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or have a documented plan in place
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• Previous permanent staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must reside within a 150-mile radius to be considered local
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
