Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Level 3/4 NICU RN for a 13-week day shift contract in Austin, TX. Requires at least 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience and TX or compact RN license.

Must hold current BLS and NRP certifications; US SSN and DOB required. One reference. Day shift is 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; travel-friendly role with housing allowance, licensure reimbursements, and other benefits. Candidates outside a 50-mile radius encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Level 3 NICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 3/4 NICU setting.
• Maintain patient care with nurse-to-patient ratio of 3-4.
• Operate Medfusion/Alaris pumps and Giraffe isolettes; monitor GE devices.
• Chart patient data in CPN and Meditech EMR systems.
• Day shift 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM; no on-call duties.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; travel experience preferred.
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past year.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Level 3/4 NICU RN for a 13-week day shift contract requiring at least 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years Level 3 NICU experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• Level 3/4 Neonatal ICU unit within a 97-bed facility with approximately 200 staff
• Patient ratio of 3-4 patients per RN
• Uses Medfusion pumps, Alaris pumps, Giraffe isolettes, and GE monitors
• Charts in CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No call requirements
• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 3/4 NICU setting
• Friendly, outgoing, and compassionate personality fit preferred
• Navy scrub color required per unit dress code
• No nail polish or artificial nails permitted per unit policy
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Preference given to candidates with prior travel assignment experience
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
