Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Level III NICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and NRP certification.

Responsibilities include work in a 7-bed Level III NICU, 36 guaranteed hours weekly, 7A-7P shifts, and attending deliveries including C-sections. Complications are avoided with strict dress code and outside-radius eligibility; Meditech is used for documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• 2+ years of hospital/specialty experience
• Level III NICU experience
• Able to attend deliveries including C-sections
• Meditech experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days in past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Work in a 7-bed Level III NICU on the 2nd floor of the main hospital
• Patient ratio of 2:3
• 13-week assignment with 7A-7P shift schedule
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• Self-scheduling with as-needed floating policy
• Uses BCPAP and HFNC equipment
• Documentation via Meditech and CPN
• Attend deliveries including C-sections as part of NICU responsibilities
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
• Dress code requires royal blue and/or white scrubs
• Clean, trimmed appearance required including hair, nails, and facial hair with no extreme styles or colors
• Body art should be covered whenever feasible
• Visible piercings other than ear piercings are prohibited
• Team player mentality valued for this unit
