The position features 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) with potential float to similar units. Candidates must provide two professional references, including one supervisor, and complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing.

Aufgaben

• Work on the Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum unit in a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• May float to other units of similar acuity.
• Provide couplet care for mothers and newborns, including postpartum and newborn care.
• Care for fundus/lochia/perineum, breastfeeding instruction, and recovery from cesarean or vaginal delivery.
• Experience with Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensive administration preferred.
• Newborn care duties include cord care, newborn assessment, phototherapy, and discharge teaching.
• Level 1 Nursery care experience preferred.
• Complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract.
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate.

• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide couplet care for mothers and newborns, including postpartum assessment and newborn care
• Skills include fundus/lochia/perineum care, breastfeeding instruction, cesarean section and vaginal delivery recovery, and management of postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension
• Experience with Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, and antihypertensive administration preferred
• Newborn care responsibilities include cord care, newborn assessment, phototherapy, and discharge teaching to parents
• Experience with Level 1 Nursery care preferred
• First-time travel nurses are not preferred for this role
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
• Former employees eligible after a 6-month break from the facility; current employees are ineligible for travel assignments
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
