Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Ortho IMC unit in Colorado. The role requires mixed acuity Med/Ortho/stepdown experience and a CO or Compact RN license, with BLS and ACLS active before start.

Responsibilities include night shifts (3x12s) from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours weekly, and possible cross-department floating. Epic charting will be used for documentation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CO or Compact)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience including 1 year in Med/Ortho/stepdown
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• DOB and last 4 digits SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Mix of Med/Ortho/stepdown unit duties
• Night shift, 3x12hr shifts, 1900–0730
• 36 hours per week; weekends required
• Floating to other departments as needed
• On-call may be required
• Perform nursing functions and delegated medical tasks per state boards
• Document care, health teaching, and treatment per guidelines
• Review treatment plans and refer as needed
• Background check and drug screen prior to start

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, including at least 1 year in Med/Ortho/stepdown specialty
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Mixed acuity Med/Ortho/stepdown unit setting
• Night shift, 3x12hr shifts from 1900-0730
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating to other departments may be required based on business need and scope of competency
• May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for clinical documentation
• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient nursing care
• Performs health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment for patients
• Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Reviews and monitors treatment plans and refers patients for further evaluation as needed
• Returning Intermountain employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for this assignment
• Background check and drug screening process required prior to start, with timely compliance expected
