Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a registered nurse for a Med/Surg Orthopedics unit in a hospital setting in Billings, MT. The role requires Montana or compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of specialty Med/Surg Orthopedics experience, with BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for the unit, ASN required with BSN preferred, and EPIC charting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Montana or compact license required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required, ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate
• Certifications must not expire prior to the assignment start date
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Orthopedics required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Orthopedics unit in a hospital setting
• Variable 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• May require floating to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May require on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses EPIC for clinical documentation
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including health teaching and counseling
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans and refer patients for further evaluation as needed
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Background check and drug screening results required at least 2 weeks before start
