• Two professional references: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one from within the last 3 years, with employment dates and rehire eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Med/Surg unit (37 beds) treating trauma, oncology, and general medical-surgical patients.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights.
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts.
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available.
• Minimum six weekend shifts per six-week schedule.
• Holiday coverage required.
• Floating may be required to ICU/PCU/Stepdown and related zones.
• Nurse aide support at 1:12 ratio.
• Uses Epic EMR and Philips telemetry monitoring.

• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Must be competent in reading telemetry strips
• Not required to titrate drips
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Responsibilities

• Acute care Med/Surg unit (37 beds) treating trauma, oncology, and general med/surg patients
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts

• Floating may be required to ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units, and within Zone 3 if extreme need arises

• Phillips telemetry monitoring, centrally monitored off the unit
• Moderate oxygen/respiratory therapy needs
• Provide direct patient care to trauma, oncology, and general medical-surgical patients
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Unit/department specific orientation scheduled during orientation week, with candidates expected to be in-state even if initial modules are remote
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Float radius policy applies, requiring travelers to secure housing that allows them to float within their assigned zone
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity, within the past year (PRN employment through outside firms may be considered)
