Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 25-bed night shift position in Kentucky. A valid KY or compact RN license plus 2+ years of Med/Surg/Tele experience is required. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.

The role offers a fast-paced environment with travel-friendly benefits and a desktop CPSI EMR system. Night shifts are 3x12 hours (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) with a 1:6 patient ratio.

Qualifications

• Active KY RN license or compact license required at submission.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum 2 years Med Surg/Tele experience required; 3 years preferred.
• Experience with IV therapy/central line blood draws, peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs.
• Experience with chest tubes, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management.
• Experience interpreting and managing cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Telemetry monitoring on-unit experience.
• Isolation precautions/PPE and wound care experience.
• IV insulin protocols experience; CPSI EMR preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced, 25-bed Med Surg Tele unit.
• Care for Inpatient, Observation, and Swing bed patients.
• Patient ratio of 1:6.
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 6:45 PM-7:15 AM).
• Work every other weekend.
• No on-call or floating to other units required.
• Provide general Med Surg/Tele nursing care including IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and wound care.
• Self-scheduling available.
• Travel pairs accepted; Local and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate.
