Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Tele unit in Paducah, KY. The day shift runs 07:00–19:30, with 3x12-hour shifts per week on a 41-bed inpatient unit focused on cardiac telemetry, respiratory care, and general medicine.

Active KY or compact RN license, BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS within 6 months are required. ADN/ASN is required, BSN preferred. New grads are welcome to apply, with travel provisions and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work on a 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit
• Care for medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and altered hemodynamics requiring telemetry monitoring
• Day shift schedule, 0700-1930, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Will work holidays and weekends
• No special scheduling requirements
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in accordance with scope of practice and hospital policy
• Implement individualized care plans and treatments within scope of practice
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and care coordination
• Provide patient and family-centered education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Promote a positive, healing environment through effective teamwork and communication
• First-time travelers and new grads are welcome to apply
