Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift in Flagstaff, AZ. Requires 2 years of RN experience and an active AZ or compact license. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required; BSN preferred. Hospital is teaching with Level I trauma designation.

Ward duties include med/surg-tele care, 1:4/5 patient ratios and nightly 3x12h shifts. Respiratory, cardiac, neuro, ortho and renal cases are common. Floats across units may be needed; RTO requires manager approval.

Qualifications

• Active AZ RN license or valid compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• 2 years of RN experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Strong MS/Tele experience required; ICU/PCU experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a short-term acute care teaching hospital with Level I trauma designation
• Patient ratio of 1:4/5
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating across units and facilities as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Cerner charting system used; experience preferred
• Deliver nursing care to a med/surg-tele patient population across cardiac, respiratory, neuro, ortho and renal cases
• RTO requests require unit manager approval
• Free parking onsite

• Position is part of a flex pool, so openness to floating across units and facilities is essential
• Candidates should be well-rounded and comfortable adapting to varied patient care needs
• RTO requests require unit manager approval
• Any scrub color permitted for RNs
