Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a Float Pool position in Massachusetts. Requires 2+ years Med/Surg RN and an active MA license. Telemetry experience and competency testing are required, along with COVID booster and flu vaccine.

Position covers Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units with 12-hour rotating shifts, 36 hours weekly over a 4-week cycle. Travel-based recruitment with a 50-mile radius rule and scheduling managed with staffing coordinators.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license in hand.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience.
• Telemetry experience required for floating assignments.
• Must pass Tele/ECG and Medication competency testing.
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed).

Responsibilities

• Float Pool position covering Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
• 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a).
• 36 hours per week over a 4-week assignment.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• Self-scheduling with staffing coordinator balancing the schedule.
• Med/Surg ratios are 5:1 (7a-11p) and 6:1 (11p-7a).
• Telemetry ratios are 4:1 (7a-11p) and 5:1 (11p-7a).
• Float between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed based on staffing needs.
• No guaranteed RTO for this assignment.
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted.
• Previous BILH employees must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility.
• No separation from BILH required for current travelers.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
