Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg/Tele Float Pool assignment in Brockton, MA. The role covers five units with 12-hour nights (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.), requiring flexibility to float across multiple Med/Surg/Tele units and to work weekends and holidays on a rotation.

Candidates must hold an active MA RN license, current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and 2+ years acute care experience, plus familiarity with Meditech IVs and the EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• 2+ years of recent acute care experience required.
• Experience with Meditech IVs and telemetry required.
• Must be able to independently read telemetry strips.
• 3-5 years of previous float experience preferred.
• Must be adaptable to working across multiple Med/Surg/Tele units.
• Must pass on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with 84% or better (2 attempts allowed).

Responsibilities

• Float pool position covering 5 different Med/Surg/Tele units
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7:30a, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Uses Meditech IV system and EPIC EMR
• No extended RTO available, most Fridays required, no specific schedule requests accommodated
• Floats across multiple Med/Surg/Tele units requiring quick adaptability
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• Driver's license required and cannot be expired
