American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a Float Pool role in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate has an active MA RN license, current BLS/CPR and ACLS, and 2+ years in acute Medical-Surgical with Telemetry.

Epic EMR experience is required, and onboarding includes a telemetry and medication test via Zoom. The role involves float pool assignments in a hospital setting, reading own telemetry strips without tele-tech support, 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM,

Qualifications

• RN license issued by MA Board of Registration in Nursing (in hand).
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certification current.
• Minimum 2+ years of recent acute Medical-Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Epic EMR experience required
• Pass/fail ECG/Telemetry test and Medication test with one attempt only during onboarding

Responsibilities

• Float Pool RN in a hospital setting.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips for Medical-Surgical Telemetry patients.
• No dedicated telemetry techs; interpret own telemetry strips.
• Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
• Work every other weekend.
• Use Epic EMR for documentation.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a Float Pool role requiring self-interpretation of telemetry strips and an active MA RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing required in hand
• Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of recent acute Medical-Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a pass/fail ECG/Telemetry test and Medication test during onboarding, administered via Zoom prior to acceptance, with only one attempt allowed and no remediation

Responsibilities

• Float Pool RN position in a hospital setting
• Medical-Surgical Telemetry patient population
• No dedicated tele techs; RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting their own telemetry strips
• 12-hour day shift schedule (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Epic EMR
• Responsible for reading and interpreting own telemetry strips without support from tele techs
• Testing must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation, so candidates should prepare in advance using the provided study guide
• Required vaccinations include COVID-19 (with booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Maximum of three days RTO accepted for this assignment
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius; local candidates are not accepted for this role
