Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night assignment at a rural 70-bed facility. You will provide acute care and telemetry nursing on the Med/Surg Tele unit, with Cerner EMR.

Expect a 1:5 patient load, night hours 6:45pm-7:15am, weekdays with every other weekend, and float to ER/ICU as needed; LPNs work with RNs on night shift. Burgundy scrubs are required but not provided. Housing and travel reimbursements available.

Qualifications

• Active WV or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Telemetry skills required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of acute care/telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

• 70-bed rural hospital Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Patient ratio of 1:5.
• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 schedule (6:45pm-7:15am).
• Works weekdays with every other weekend required.
• Float to ER and ICU as needed.
• LPNs work alongside RNs on night shift.
• House Supervisor available 24/7 for support.
• Occasional pediatric/adolescent patients cared for on the unit.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Provide acute care and telemetry nursing care within a rural hospital setting.

• Blocked schedule requests discussed at interview.
