Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift at a Level III Trauma Center in Tennessee. TN or compact RN license and 1+ year MS/Tele experience are required.

The role involves telemetry monitoring, IV insertion, and providing care across all patient ages on a Med/Surg Tele unit. Night hours are 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, with every-other-weekend coverage and travel support benefits.

Qualifications

• Active TN or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year MS/Tele nursing experience.
• IV insertion skills required.
• TN Abuse Registry clearance required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center.
• Serves all patient age groups with telemetry monitoring.
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
• Call required as needed.
• Floating to similar med/surg units as needed.
• Uses Meditech EHR and Omnicell for medications.
• Provide nursing care to a diverse med/surg population.

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• MS/Tele experience and IV insertion skills required
• TN Abuse Registry clearance required prior to start

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center
• Serves all patient age groups
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Call required as needed
• Floating possible to similar med/surg units as needed
• Uses Meditech EHR and Omnicell for medication dispensing
• Provide nursing care to a diverse med/surg patient population requiring telemetry monitoring
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual attire not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered
