American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment in Louisiana. Requires 2 years of specialty experience and a compact or LA license, with ACLS, BLS, CPI certifications. PALS preferred; Epic charting experience preferred. Travel nurses welcome, with housing and licensure support.

Shift is 3x12 hours (18:45–07:15) with a 1:5 ratio. Candidates must reside more than 65 miles away; no on-call. First-time travelers welcome.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact or LA) in hand upon consideration.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CPI.
• PALS preferred, especially for pediatric patient assignments.
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac drip management preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for consideration.
• Up-to-date NURSYS report required for consideration.

Responsabilités

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital environment.
• Patient ratio of 1:5.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15).
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call requirements.
• No floating required.
• Provide nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients with a low pediatric population.
• Monitor for dysrhythmias and manage cardiac/vasoactive drips without titration.
• Perform respiratory care including oxygen administration, tracheostomy management, and non-invasive airway support.
• Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually.
• Orientation is held 5 days a week.
• Two Manager/Supervisor references required to obtain clearance to start.
• RTO must be disclosed and discussed during interview.
• Former Ochsner Health permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation before returning as travel candidate.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

• Up-to-date NURSYS report required for consideration
