Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital assignment in Alabama. An active AL license or compact license is required, with BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience.

The position features 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts, block scheduling, housing and travel reimbursements, and comprehensive benefits. Local candidates are not considered for travel rates.

Qualifications

• Active AL or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience required.
• Proficiency with cardiac drips including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone required.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratios of up to 1:6-7
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) based on traveler preference
• Block scheduling available
• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• Must reside outside a 90-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• No local candidates accepted
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at the facility within the last 10 years are not eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
