Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Med Surg/TelemetryRN with EPIC experience for a 13-week night shift contract in New York. Requires active NY RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 3+ years of RN experience in Cardiac/Tele

The role includes 12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week), a 16-bed unit with 4:1 patient ratio, and remote telemetry monitoring. Travel nursing experience preferred; housing/per diem and stipends may apply.

Qualifications

• Active NY RN license required.
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required.
• Strong proficiency and experience on Cardiac/Tele or Med-Tele units required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Ability to comfortably interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms twice per shift.
• Must pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
• Must have own reliable transportation.
• Strong attendance record required with no history of call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry/Neuro unit (T6) within a community hospital setting.
• 16-bed unit with a 4:1 RN to patient ratio.
• Primarily adult to geriatric cardiac and telemetry patients.
• Remote tele monitoring unit requiring interpretation, measurement, and documentation of cardiac rhythms twice per shift.
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week (3x12).
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Provide direct patient care on a busy cardiac/telemetry unit.
• Neuro/stroke experience preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Dress code allows personal scrubs of any color, no designs, cartoons, or hoodies.
• Candidates must disclose any prior experience at this facility or its affiliated health system.
• Requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start, with no more than 5 days accepted.
• No block scheduling will be considered for this assignment.
• Candidates residing in certain nearby NY counties will not be considered for this travel assignment.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
