Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift in North Carolina. Active NC or compact RN license and EPIC EMR experience are required; BLS is also required.

Responsibilities include caring for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, night shift 7pm–7:30am, and occasional holiday/weekend work with on-call floating across Cone Health campuses as needed.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed).
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred.
• LTAC experience preferred.
• BiPAP/CPAP management, oral suctioning, blood product administration, peripheral line/PICC care, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, wound care/wound vac, dialysis management, renal failure management, and surgical drain care required.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg-Tele unit with Medical/Surgical patient population.
• Patients include observation, respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, palliative/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes, and post-surgical patients.
• Patient ratio 1:6.
• Night shift, 7pm–7:30am.
• Every other weekend required.
• Must work 2 of 4 holidays.
• Floating across Cone Health campuses as needed.
• Uses EPIC EMR.
• Provide nursing care across a range of med/surg and telemetry patients including respiratory, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management.
• Involved in emergency response with Rapid Response/Code teams.

• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7pm-7:30am
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 4 holidays
• Floating required across any Cone Health campus as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Provide nursing care across a range of medical-surgical and telemetry patients including respiratory, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Involved in emergency response and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, with no local rates applying
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
