American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN with active CA licensure and ACLS/BLS for a 13-week day shift assignment. The role requires orientation to a Tele/Medsurg unit and strong collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient care from admission to discharge, ensuring safety and education, and adhering to a 7:00 AM–7:30 PM schedule (three 12-hour shifts) with every other weekend. Local CA candidates welcomed.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC).
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required.
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required.

• Coordinate care from admission through discharge on a Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Address physical, psychosocial, safety, and educational needs of patients.
• Collaborate with nursing peers, physicians, and support staff.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN with active CA licensure and ACLS/BLS certification for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required

Responsibilities

• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit setting
• Day shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts weekly from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Coordinate patient care from admission through discharge, addressing physical, psychosocial, safety, and educational needs
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursing peers, physicians, and ancillary support services
• Utilize the nursing process, medical therapeutics, technology, and personal interventions to deliver care
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff/travelers must have a 1-year separation before returning
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
