American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN for an Orthopedics unit in California. The role requires a CA RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of experience in ortho/trauma care, with responsibilities including direct patient care on a 277-bed acute care unit and a 3x12-hour daytime schedule.

First-time travelers welcome; housing and licensure reimbursements provided. You'll float among facilities within the state, use Epic EMR, and must commit to three major holidays.

Competenze

Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission).
Current BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
Trauma Level I experience required; Level II experience preferred.
Experience with orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement, and traction.
IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs.
Respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, nasal cannula, and oxygen administration.
PCA medications, cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and rapid response/code team protocols.
Wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE.
Feeding tube care and management.

Mansioni

Work in the Orthopedics unit of an acute care hospital with 277 staffed beds.
Patient ratio of 1:5.
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Required to work every other weekend.
No on-call responsibilities.
Floating required between like units and sister facilities within the state.
Epic EMR used.
Provide direct patient care to orthopedic and ortho trauma patients.
Royal blue or navy blue scrubs required for RNs.
Free parking available on-site.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Local candidates accepted, though a 50-mile radius rule applies for former permanent staff.
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius.
Can only be submitted to one Providence facility at a time.
RTO requests must be submitted at time of application.
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years.
