Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology unit position requiring chemotherapy certification and Level II Trauma Center experience.

The role requires CT or Compact RN licensure, BLS, NIHSS, chemotherapy certification, and EPIC charting proficiency. You will operate in a Level II Trauma Center with a 426-bed facility, with a 4x12 day shift and occasional weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Active CT or Compact RN license.
• Current certifications: BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC).
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Oncology unit of a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds.
• Level II Trauma Center setting.
• 4-5 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM).
• Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
• Floating to other Med/Surg units required.
• EPIC EMR used.
• Wear royal blue scrubs.
• Free parking available on site.
• Part of the Yale New Haven Health System.

• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius unless applying at the local rate
• Returning perm staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required, with religious/medical exemptions only
