American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg-Oncology RN for an 18-bed Med/Surg-Oncology unit in Birmingham, AL with a 6:1 patient ratio. The role operates on 3x12 day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15, with every other weekend and floating as needed; no on-call duties. Active AL or Compact RN license, BLS and NIHSS per AHA required, and at least 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience are required.

Details

• 18-bed Med/Surg-Oncology unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Patient population includes oncology, palliative, post-op bariatric, and med/surg overflow cases
• Uses computer charting, IV pumps, vital sign machines, and other basic medical equipment
• 3x12 day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

Additional Information

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to oncology, palliative, and post-op bariatric patients
