Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility assignment. Requires ND or compact RN license, BLS, and a minimum of 1 year of RN experience. BSN is not required. Driver’s license is required for consideration.

The role covers post-acute care duties, with 12-hour day shifts (7AM–7:30PM) and every other weekend/holiday. Local candidates within 80 miles may be considered at a reduced rate.

Qualifications

• Active ND or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• BSN not required.
• Must understand admissions, transfers, discharges, and fall reporting.
• Valid driver’s license required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Post-acute care setting within a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility unit.
• 12-hour day shifts from 7AM to 7:30PM, including every other weekend and holiday.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Resident-to-caregiver ratio of up to 1:35 on both day and night shifts.
• Day shift nurse oversees up to 3 CNAs and potentially 1 bath aide (M-F), with a med aide assisting.
• Night shift nurse oversees up to 2 CNAs and administers medication pass at the start of shift.
• Nurse is responsible for all treatments on the unit.
• Uses a computerized charting system not otherwise specified.
• No on-call or call-back requirements.
• Perform admissions, transfers, discharges, and fall reporting as part of daily duties.
• Responsible for administering medication pass and overseeing treatments for residents.
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate.
• Candidates residing within an 80-mile radius are considered local.
