Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Long Term Care position in Wisconsin. Requires 1 year of RN experience and a WI or compact RN license. BLS certification is required.

You will provide skilled nursing care to residents with complex medical needs on an evening shift, with every other weekend and holidays. Candidates living >70 miles away are preferred. Scrubs must be solid color.

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Experience with foley catheters, insulin administration, and IV therapy.
• Experience with neurological status assessment, dressing changes, and skin/wound assessment.
• Experience with wound vac, JP drains, and colostomy care.
• End of life/palliative care experience.
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP machines and Hoyer lifts.
• Diabetes monitoring experience.
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in a long-term care setting.
• Care for patients with multiple comorbidities and acute medical needs.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:20.
• Evening shift: 2:00 PM–11:00 PM.
• Work every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
• Floated between two floors/wings as needed.
• Chart with PointClickCare (preferred).
• Ensure safe, compassionate care for residents with complex needs.
• Residence must be more than 70 miles from the facility.

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
