Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Infusion RN for a day shift position in Vermont. Requires port access experience and a VT or compact RN license. BLS required; CRNI preferred. BSN is mandatory and a RN school program graduate.

Expect a 13-week travel assignment with a 5-day work week, 8-hour shifts, in a busy infusion center. Flu shot is required and housing is traveler responsibility.

Qualifications

• Active VT or multi-state compact RN license required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• CRNI certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required, with 3 years preferred.
• One year of acute care experience preferred.
• BSN required.
• Graduate of an approved RN School of Nursing.
• Infusion RN experience and port access experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy infusion center seeing approximately 15-20 patients per day.
• Day shift schedule with 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift.
• 13-week assignment.
• Administer IV medications and therapies following hospital and INS standards while monitoring patient responses.
• Coordinate scheduling, prior authorizations, and clinical order reviews with providers and payers.
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and document teaching efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records, medication administration logs, and transfusion records.
