• Coordinate comprehensive patient care using the Nursing Process
• Collaborate with Unit Director or Nursing Supervisor during shifts
• Provide holistic care addressing patients' age and psychosocial needs
• Travelers must secure housing; local housing resources available
• First-time travelers may be considered

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 3 years of acute care experience and a VT or compact RN license.

Requirements

• BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required
• Flu shot required with no exceptions
• Pediatric-only RN experience is not sufficient for this role

Responsibilities

• General Med/Surg unit providing medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
• Primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric cases (not a pediatric floor)
• Night shift, 7pm-7am, three 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Critical access hospital setting with 25 beds
• Coordinate comprehensive patient care using the Nursing Process for adult and occasional pediatric patients
• Collaborate with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and/or Nursing Supervisor during shifts
• Provide holistic care addressing patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Located in a rural area without public transportation or rideshare access, so personal vehicle is recommended
• Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing, though local housing resources are available
• All required credentials must be uploaded five business days before start date
• First-time travelers may be considered
