Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Infusion position in California. The role requires CA licensure, a BSN, and at least 2 years of infusion center experience within a teaching hospital setting.

The candidate should have BLS and chemo certifications, with OCN preferred. The job is in an outpatient oncology infusion center with day shifts and potential cross-facility floating within 75 miles.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• BSN required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Chemo (ONS/ONCC) certification required
• OCN certification preferred
• 2 years of infusion center experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Inpatient/outpatient experience preferred
• Skills required: IV therapy/infusions, accessing/managing ports, administration of blood and blood products, chemotherapy administration, body fluid handling post-chemotherapy, management/disposal of cytotoxic spills, monitoring chemotherapy, and recognizing/communicating abnormal lab values
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the Infusion Center of an outpatient oncology setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Epic charting system used, preferred experience
• Floating to a different department, unit, or facility within a 75+ mile radius may be required if qualified
• Provide infusion and chemotherapy administration care in an outpatient oncology setting
• Candidates with prior employment at any University of California medical facility or acquired facilities must disclose this employment history, including dates worked, units, and manager names
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional requests accepted mid-contract
• Time off is not permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
