Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Hospice Admissions RN with HCHB proficiency and a minimum of two years of recent hospice experience to join a geriatric hospice program.

The RN must hold an active WA license with BLS, and be able to travel within a 60-mile radius, covering shifts Sundays to Wednesdays. Expect a 4x10 schedule and mileage reimbursement; hospice care experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Active WA RN license or compact license in hand before submission.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent hospice experience.
• OASIS experience required for SOC in Home Health settings.
• Proficiency in HCHB charting system required.
• Must have active driver's license and personal transportation.

Responsibilities

• Hospice admissions role within a geriatric patient population.
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Sunday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Average caseload of 5–7 patients per day.
• Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the hub office.
• No on-call responsibilities required, though an on-call rotation may be discussed.
• EMR system used is HCHB (Homecare Homebase).
• Responsibilities include timely documentation and communication of patient care.
• Traveler must be flexible with assigned territory.
• Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.
• First-time travelers will not be considered; local candidates at travel rate.
• Travel pairs accepted, individual territory assignments and independent transportation required.
• Former permanent employees must be separated for 6 months before returning as a traveler.
• RTO must be submitted at time of application.
• Hospice/Home Health checklist completion is mandatory.
• Monday orientation is required, including billable modules.

• Proficiency in HCHB charting system required
• Must have an active driver's license and personal transportation
