American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg Float Pool position in Colorado. Requirements include an active CO license, BLS, 2+ years acute care, and Epic charting experience.

Travel experience preferred and telemetry skills are essential. The role covers float pool work across Med-Surg/Tele and ED surge support, with shifts rotating 3x12s (nights 19:00-07:30; days 07:00-19:30) including weekends; navy scrubs required.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license
• Current AHA BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
• Epic charting experience
• Prior travel experience
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Float pool experience preferred
• Telemetry experience required
• Flexible staffing ratios experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Float pool position within the Med-Surg/Tele unit and ED Surge support at a hospital
• Support the ED by caring for patients awaiting inpatient bed placement
• Floats to other acute care units throughout the hospital when ED support is not needed
• May float to sister facilities within the metro region
• Inpatient units average 36 beds; ED hold area up to 30 beds
• Day shifts 4-5:1; nights 5-6:1; ratios may flex with staffing
• Rotating 3x12 shifts, nights 19:00-07:30 and days 07:00-19:30, weekends
• Uses Epic for charting
• Navy scrub color required
• Care for Med-Surg/Tele and ED holding patients, including cardiac monitoring, wound care, and respiratory support
• Complete facility-specific modules within first week
• Not open to first-time travelers
• Local candidates within 75 miles eligible for local pay rate
