Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring a PA or compact license and at least 2 years of acute care experience.

This role rotates across Med/Surg, Stepdown, IRU, and ED holding units, uses EPIC EMR, and includes a three-night 12-hour shift schedule with rotating weekends and holidays. BLS is required; ACLS and NIHSS are required for Stepdown; travel benefits including housing and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (PA or compact).
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS required for Stepdown.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred due to system transition.

Responsibilities

• Float Pool duties across Med/Surg, Stepdown, IRU, and ED holding units.
• Care for post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative, hospice, and low-volume chemo patients.
• Manage both clean and COVID-positive patient assignments when applicable.
• Read and interpret cardiac strips in tele monitoring.
