Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level II trauma hospital in Tennessee. Active TN or compact RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience are required, with Meditech EHR proficiency.

Day shift 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, every other weekend, on-call and float duties as needed. Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel rates; hospital offers ICU, Endoscopy, and Cardiac services.

Qualifications

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Meditech EHR experience required

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical unit within a 44-bed hospital department
• Patient population spans all ages
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Meditech EHR system
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required, totaling 24 weekend hours
• As-needed float requirements
• As-needed call requirements with 30 minute to 1 hour arrival time if called in
• Facility is a Level II trauma center with comprehensive services including ICU, Geriatric Psychiatry, Acute Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation, Sleep Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, five OR suites, and two Endoscopy suites
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color accepted, but casual wear and hoodies are not permitted
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
