American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg assignment in Tennessee. Active TN or compact RN license and at least 1 year of RN experience required. Night shift 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM in a busy Med/Surg unit, with a 6:1 patient ratio and census up to 24.

The role includes use of Medhost EHR, no call or floating, and a travel-pay rate for residents 60+ miles away. Housing and incentives are provided.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1+ years of RN experience.
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit.
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; every other weekend.
• No call and no floating required.
• Unit census up to 24 patients; patient ratio 6:1.
• Use Medhost EHR system; standard M/S equipment.

Requirements

• Critical care thinking skills preferred
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting on the Medical/Surgical unit, Trauma Level 3
• Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients, no pediatrics
• Common diagnoses include pneumonia, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, and DVT
• Patient ratio of 6:1 with a unit census up to 24 patients
• Uses bladder scanners, glucometers, and other standard equipment
• Medhost EHR system used
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• No floating required
• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit within a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Orientation held bi-weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• Must not be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual wear is not permitted
