Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night contract in Kansas. Requires at least 1 year of hospital Med/Surg experience and a KS or compact RN license. Orientation includes a virtual session on Monday followed by on-unit training for the rest of the week.

Shifts are 12 hours (1900–0700) with weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities. Local candidates within 60 miles are preferred and may convert to permanent after the contract ends.

Qualifications

• Active KS or Compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA.
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• 12-hour night shifts from 1900-0700.

• May float within scope of practice.
• On-call: 1 shift per month.
• Facility is nicotine-free.

Requirements

• Active KS or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting required
• Experience with IV drips such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem preferred
• New graduates will not be considered

Responsibilities

• Medical/Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts from 1900-0700
• Weekend requirement of 2 weekends per month
• Holiday coverage required as needed in rotation
• May float within scope of practice
• On-call requirement of 1 shift per month
