American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Idaho Falls, ID. Active RN license (ID or compact) and current BLS are required, along with 2 years of RN experience and 1 year in Med/Surg.

Candidates must meet the facility's 98% safe medication scanning rate and be flexible to days or nights. The role involves a 39-bed Med/Surg unit with day and night staffing, Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, and occasional floating to Surg/Ortho and Rehab.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Exceptional communication and time management skills required
• Must maintain minimum 98% safe medication scanning and administration rate
• Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Flexibility to work days or nights preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Care for a 39-bed Med/Surg unit (Med/Onc floor) in a hospital setting
• Staffing includes day shift: 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 unit secretary; night shift: 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 day, 1:6 night
• Operate Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Arjo lifts, and Novastat with in-room computers
• Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float to Surg/Ortho and Rehab units
• Work two weekends per month
• On-call only during low volume periods
• Provide direct patient care in a team-oriented environment
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of the facility
