Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment in Oregon City. The role requires at least 1 year of experience and float availability across multiple facilities.

You will work in a Med/Surg Tele unit with 3x12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, and may float to sister facilities as needed. Candidates must hold an active RN license (Oregon) with a compact license accepted, plus BLS; NIHSS preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and compact license accepted at submission.
• Oregon RN license required.
• Current BLS certification; NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience.
• Experience with respiratory care and airway management preferred.
• IV therapy and central/peripheral/PICC line management preferred.
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation experience preferred.
• Wound care and wound vac experience preferred.
• Experience with CVA, seizure disorders, and withdrawal care preferred.
• Must have a personal vehicle for the assignment.
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a short-term acute care hospital.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00.
• Every other weekend required and on-call during low census periods.
• Floating to other units and sister facilities as needed.
• Patient ratio of 1:4 and Epic charting responsibilities.
• Provide direct patient care on Med/Surg Tele unit including cardiac monitoring and IV therapy.
• May float to Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent.
• Must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays; submit RTO/scheduling requests upfront.

• Scrubs may be any color; specific scrub colors are provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child units
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including dates and locations
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
