Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment in Kentucky. The role requires ACLS, BLS, and CPI/HWC/MAB certifications, plus at least 1 year of RN experience. Active KY or compact RN license is required, with AHA certifications.

You will work on a 57-bed Med/Surg unit spanning 3rd and 4th floors, with adult patients and a patient ratio up to 1:6, using MediTech EHR, and rotating every other weekend along with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Medical-Surgical unit spanning the 3rd and 4th floors with 57 beds.
• Serves an adult patient population with COPD, post-op joint procedures, and diabetes.
• Patient ratio up to 1:6 with PCA assistance.
• Uses MediTech EHR system.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:30 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• On-call as needed.
• Floating as needed to similar units.
• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg population.

Responsibilities

• Medical-Surgical unit spanning the 3rd and 4th floors with 57 beds


• Serves an adult patient population of all ages with common diagnoses including COPD, post-op joint procedures, and diabetes


• Patient ratio up to 1:6 with PCA assistance


• Uses MediTech EHR system


• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM


• Every other weekend required


• On-call as needed


• Floating as needed with possibility of floating to similar units


• Provide direct patient care to a diverse Med/Surg population including post-surgical and chronic disease management cases


• Work alongside a supportive team under the Med Surg Director


• Scrubs of any color accepted, though attire branded with other facilities is not permitted


• Candidates must be kind, caring, and compassionate


• Must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate


• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months


• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time


• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
