Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide Med/Surg nursing care across Neuro, Ortho and Pediatric populations.
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM with 1:6 patient ratio.
• Float to other inpatient units as needed.
• Collaborate with 1–2 supervisors and unit team.
• Remain compliant with EHR (Paragon transitioning to Cerner).
• Adhere to dress code: Galaxy Blue scrubs.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit requiring an active MI license and 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• 225-bed specialty care hospital with a Trauma Level 2 designation
• 7th floor Neuro/Ortho/Peds Medical Surgical unit with 24 beds
• Patient population includes all ages over 28 days, with common diagnoses of trauma and post-op Ortho/Neuro cases plus a general pediatric unit
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift (NOC) schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend commitment of 3 weekends every 6 weeks
• Float requirement to other inpatient units
• No call requirements
• Uses Paragon EHR, transitioning to Cerner
• Provide Med/Surg nursing care across Neuro, Ortho, and Pediatric patient populations
• Work alongside 1-2 supervisors supporting the unit
• Teamwork and collaboration valued within the unit culture
• Galaxy Blue scrub color required per dress code policy
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
• Previous staff employment with any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
