Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit in Michigan, requiring an active MI RN license and 2+ years of experience. The unit has a 225-bed hospital with a 24-bed Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics floor and a 1:6 patient ratio.

Shifts are 12 hours (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) with three weekends every six weeks. Travel role with housing allowance and licensure reimbursements. The ideal candidate has trauma and post-operative care experience, pediatric experience preferred, and

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required; PALS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• ADN required.
• Experience with adult patients; pediatric experience preferred.
• Experience treating trauma and post-operative Ortho/Neuro patients.

Responsibilities

• 1:6 patient ratio.
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Weekend commitment of 3 weekends every 6 weeks.
• Float to other inpatient units as needed.
• Provide nursing care across Neuro, Ortho and Pediatrics units.

Responsibilities

• 225-bed specialty care hospital with trauma level 2 designation
• 7th floor Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit with 24 beds
• Patient population includes all ages over 28 days with a focus on adult trauma and post-op Ortho/Neuro cases, plus general pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend commitment of 3 weekends every 6 weeks
• No on-call requirements
• Float to other inpatient units as needed
• Currently uses Paragon EHR, transitioning to Cerner
• Provide nursing care across a combined Neuro, Ortho, and Pediatrics unit
• Collaborate closely with a supervisory team of 1-2 supervisors
• Teamwork and collaboration are essential to success in this role
• Galaxy Blue scrubs required per facility dress code
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a reduced local rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
