Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Med/Surg RN for a Flex Pool night shift in Hawaii. The ideal candidate holds an active Hawaii RN license, has 2+ years of nursing experience, and possesses BLS and ACLS certifications.

You will float between Medical and Surgical units, with assignments in Medical Unit, Laulima, and Cardiovascular Unit. Night shift 12 hours; 36 hours per week after orientation; unit training provided.

Qualifications

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment, or must apply upon acceptance of offer if not currently held
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred
• 2-10 years of nursing experience required
• Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity

Responsibilities

• Flex RN role floating between medical and surgical units
• Floating assignments may include Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally Cardiovascular Unit
• Medical Unit has 77 beds, Laulima (surgical acute) has 18 beds, Cardiovascular Unit has 15 beds
• Nurse to patient ratios: Medical 1:6 days/evenings and 1:8 nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4 (ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves)
• 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715)
• Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
• Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
• Provides nursing care while floating across medical and surgical units as needed
• Unit-specific training and orientation provided
• Professional nursing attire with clean scrubs required
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of the assignment
• Travelers with a Monday start should plan to arrive in Hawaii the preceding Thursday to report to Employee Health that Friday morning
